Voltage Load Capacity Frako Power Factor Correction Capacitor have a load capacity in accordance with EN 60831-1 and 2 as well as IEC 831-1 and 2.
Application FRAKO manufactures three series of Power Factor Correction Capacitors: Basic, Standard and Primium . We recommend Basic Capacitors for networks with Low Harmonic content and normal ambient temperature. Standard Capacitors asr recommended for networks with Higher harmonic levels and/or high ambient temperature. Premium Capacitors should be used for demanding networks (i.e. networks with very high harmonic levels and /or very high ambient temperature).

Discharging According to EN 60831, every power capacitor must have a discharge device which guarantees a discharge to 75 VAC within three minutes. FRAKO capacitors type LKT have integrated discharge resistors which guarantee a discharge 75 Volts within one minute.Attention: Before touching the capacitor, the terminals must be short-circuited and connected to the case .
Life expectancy The use of thoroughly tested material as well as careful processing ensures quality and a long life expectancy of the products. Frako produces its capacitors according to own specifications, wihich surpass by far the requirements of EN 60831-1/2. Quality tests following each single manufacturing step, verify an outstanding manufacturing quality. Combined with a unique capacitor manufacturing technology, Frako achieves a worldwire leading durability.
Safety features pfcc010FRAKO power capacitors offer the highest safety with an overload disconnector, which activates at internal overpressure, disconnects the capacitor from the mains network and thereby prevents capacitor destruction. FRAKO carries out type tests and regular random tests to monitor the production safety of this function. The test conditions comply to IEC 831 standards. FRAKO power capacitors offer, therefore, the highest possible standard of safety at overload and at theend of their life expectancy.
